Missed out on Puppy School? No problem. Choose from either Puppy Plus or Puppy Juniors. Start with Puppy plus for beginners or try out Puppy Juniors if you & your puppy have already learned the basics.
Puppy Plus teaches you & your puppy all the essentials including sit, down, stay, leave-it, drop, how to walk nicely on lead & recall. Plus learn how to prevent guarding behaviours, stop your puppy jumping up and teach your puppy how to wait politely. Puppy Plus also starts to introduce your puppy to fun new experiences to help build their confidence. This includes an introduction to basic agility (no jumps or high walkways). Your tutor will also support you with helpful advice on common puppy problems such as toilet training and puppy biting. The course is available for all puppies aged 5-12 months.
Puppy Juniors is a follow on course for puppies that have already learned the basics. Moving on from Puppy School the focus is on fun confidence building activities including basic agility, shaping, trick training & more. Class sizes are limited to just 5 puppies and the course is tailored to towards your preferences. Choose to focus on any of the above or have a go at scent work, teaching a retrieve or target training! It really is your choice. To join the course your puppy must have had some previous training and be able to sit, lie down & follow a food lure. The course is available for all puppies aged 5-18 months, you do not need to have attended the Puppy School course in order to attend.
Please note that although these courses offer a great opportunity to socialise your puppy this is not the solution for puppies struggling with socialisation issues. If your puppy is struggling around other dogs and/or people you may need to attend a private puppy 1-2-1 session ahead of attending a course.
